HyVee in Madison

Decent selection overall. I'd prefer here over what's offered at pick n save. I would also go here for poultry, deli, and vegetable items vs the same items at Woodman's, though Woodman's has greater selection.

I love this hyvee! It's right across the street from where I work. I stop in for lunch all the time. I love the build your own sandwich bar! And all of the different foods they have to offer. This place is like a grocery store and a cafeteria with food from all over the world. This location even has a restaurant and wine shop. They are 24 hours and have a huge parking lot. I love coming here. Staff has been a huge help with all of my needs too.

Big store but you have to hunt for products and sales.

Great quality products. A bit pricy but did I mention "quality products"! They also offer lunch with great variety. Friendly staff and very clean.

I love Hy-Vee when life is normal. I appreciate a clean,orderly store and love the variety. I like the employees & can usually get in and out fairly quickly.I do not enjoy stores like Woodman's. Too hard to maneuver through it and too many rude customers. Might be less expensive but not worth the aggrevation & time it takes to get out.

Any Hy-Vee is great. Always can get creative to find deals, fuel-saver points, and the Hy-Vee branded items are essentially the same as name-brand but far cheaper. Produce and fresh items are always top-notch and the service is fantastic! Half price sushi day is probably the best deal in town. Highly recommend all around.

Honestly it was my first time in Hy-Vee and I was pleasantly surprised. I didnt expect to walk in and find there was a decent sized area that had bath and body supplies. A large set up with tons of different bath bombs and such. Along with a big Claire's set up as well. It smelled so good from the bath bombs and the rest of the store that I ventured into was very clean and organized. Honestly just didn't expect that from just a "grocery store". I was with a friend who was purchasing a few small items so as far as pricing I'm not sure if they have higher prices compared to other stores in the area but from the looks of it I would assume the prices are a bit higher due to the fact they seem like a higher end grocery store compared to other grocery stores I've shopped like pick n save or piggly wiggly.

My son lived in Madison two years ago..i got off plane to go home and hy-hee was where I was headed...love that store..

Great Grocery store with a expansive selection and decent prices.

I was in the store not long ago & saw one of your outside employees go inside the store & back out without a mask. If WE HAVE TO WEAR ONE MAKE SURE ALL your employees do as well or next time I'm going to refuse to have one on. Because I'm one that normally refuses to wear one as they're no guarantee. Posting this on here so more than just management can see that you allow this.

They have one odd three breast selection of foods and the hot meals are always fresh. Sushi to go is very good

Hy-Vee is a pretty good grocery store, they're prepared and hot food selection is awesome and they've really built a great selection of natural/organic products. The layout is nice and the place is always super clean; as most others say about it, they are pretty pricey.

A situation that happened at this store today was brought to my attention. One the managers, Jen, approached a customer in an incredibly unprofessional way, and her behavior was disgusting. Jen should be relieved of her job duties immediately as it’s quite obvious this woman should not be working with the public.

Found the store fully stocked with very reasonable prices. Would shop there again! Also appreciated the safety measures being practiced.

Unfortunately, I won't be returning to this store. I have only gone for one reason, but now, I can find those items somewhere else. I won't be giving my money to a business that employs individuals that are clearly biased. I get that they can't catch every bad employee, but maybe they should at least try. And also, training on effective communication skills, biases (self-awareness), and how to handle difficult moments (not accusing someone of stealing only based on the color of their skin).

Its big. It's got seating if you want to eat it there. Produce is decent. A fair selection of gluten free and healthy alternatives. Pretty good selection of alcohol as well. Check out generally adequate but keep an eye on the bagging.

I come here quite often and everything is fairly priced enough to where you can hopefully find whatever you are looking for. They have a great variety of items and the staff seem well managed. Overall a nice place to purchase grocery items.

Heard the manager Jen was very unprofessional and racially profiled a customer today, I feel as though she should be relieved of her management position. I am sickened to hear that the situation was handled so unprofessionally by the person who represents your store.

They have almost anything you might want. Clean, solves quick meal solutions. Very pricey though.

For some reason usually out of cilantro. Otherwise a great store and a great selection.

They got food and stuff. what more do you want? They have been also known to carry the occasional "thing" for purchase. happy hunting!

Your manager is completely unprofessional amd racially profiles people.

The pharmacy staff are great here. Very intelligent and on top of their game. I have had to fill rx's here after getting injured. There was no wasted time. My medication was ready quickly. The technicians were very friendly and seemed to be enjoying their job.

Hyvee oversold & under-staffed their grocery pickup. 3.5 hours after we received our “pickup ready” text they couldn’t find our groceries. We cancelled our order, donned our masks & did our shopping ourselves. I appreciate what they are trying to do but their implementation is really a miss.

Wide variety of quality food items not easily found in other stores, at fair prices.

They have a new policy that doesn’t allow reusable bags. The manager was unable to explain why. “For safety” even though we’ve already shopped and walked around this entire store. I didn’t even put the bag on the bag table and loaded groceries directly into the bag I was holding. It makes no sense. They were able to provide no explanation. Very sad how awful the communication at this store is. We will be shopping elsewhere. The Asian grocery across Whitney had much cheaper produce, and hyvees prices are otherwise the same at Metcalfes, only Metcalfes is much more reasonable. So sad. We’re done here.

Nice large grocery store with good selections.I was impressed by the cheese department. Good value there.Well sized liquor store attached.Due to COVID, there are currently one-way signs in aisles. But the store layout was not designed with that in mind so the intended flow is unclear and at times just bad. Especially in produce and dairy/frozen.I was there mid morning so there was a lot of stocking going on. Staff were polite and managed the pallet jacks skillfully.Almost totally out of Graham crackers. I suppose it is the peak of smores season.

Went for the hot food. Went to the Chinese food section. Asked for a entree meal. He asked if I wanted noodles or rice. I asked for noodles he then says he will do half rice and half noodles because there isn't enough noodles. This is at 1pm! The rice was discolored it had been in there so long and there wasn't even enough to do just rice.

Taking my business elsewhere after a recent incident at this Hyvee store - a Black woman was accused of and humiliated for stealing when she paid for everything she bought. The manager prevented her from leaving and loudly insisted she did not pay for the cakes she had bought on her own birthday, and proceeded to take them out of the lady’s cart. And the manager did not believe her till she pulled out the receipt! Disgusting and upsetting.

Hyvee is super organized and very clean. All employees and most shoppers were wearing masks. There is a really good deal for Chinese food right now. Four pints of entrees, two sides, eight appetizers, fortune cookies and a 2 l of Coke for $20.

Easy parking, massive selection. Staff is plentiful and helpful. Nice that they have a bulk foods section as well.

Reasonable grocery store with a liquor department, Starbucks, and seating to eat deli food/pizza onsite. Fairly good cheese department with an enthusiastic staff. Reasonable selection of alternative/health foods but these are micromanaged to the nth degree, so finding what you want is a scavenger hunt. Main drawback is the folks at the registers consistently bag hot/cold together, carom produce down the counter, and put the eggs at the bottom.

Great food selection, great staff and I appreciate how they're handling the pandemic. When they ran out of sanitizing wet wipes they had staff sanitizing carts and providing alternate methods to clean the carts.

This grocery store has good prices, great food, and even better service. The alcohol selection is impressive as well.

Amazing with all the cultural foods, and the variety of pet supplies they sell there. I hope they make one in Milwaukee in the future. I'm kind of jealous if you live in that area and can walk there on a daily basis. (Just kidding about that, I was just proving that I really love this store and I'm happy it's an hour away from Milwaukee).

Love the store but NOT the STARBUCKS! They do not know how to make any of the drinks correctly. Each time I try, I think I will have a different outcome, but sadly five times and I'm done!

Wow. This was my first time visiting a HyVee. We were very impressed by the selection. The different types of food available to be eaten or taken home. Was incredible. There was also a very nice sit-down area where we could Enjoy our dinner.

First time using free curbside pick up, my window was from 2pm-3pm. I assumed the groceries would be ready when I arrived but they don’t start shopping until you drive up understandably. Took longer than expected; I arrived about 1:50pm and left around 2:50pm but I had a decent size order and they were still figuring out logistics.
